JP's at Cannon Beach is a bit unique as today's restaurants go. It does not have a corporate agenda with pre fab food designed to get diners out as fast as possible and get more in.
Bill loves to cook. He calls himself a food hacker. He takes tradition and builds on it without getting wierd about it. We don't serve frou frou food. We serve real food, artfully prepared, with all the color and flavor it was meant to have. This takes time so we aren't a quick get in and get out place. Relax and enjoy! It is good for the digestion.
Diana loves people! That means this is the perfect job for her. Together we have a labor of love.
We appeal to food enthusiasts. We love that people notice the details. A spice, a good wine, fresh mushrooms, hand cut steak. No pretentions, no attitude. Just good food lovingly prepared. We love this place. We invite you to fall in love too. Come join us! Bon Appetite
In 1994 Bill and Diana Pappas brought their seven children and started the adventure known as JP's at Cannon Beach. Love, laughter, prayer and hard, hard work have made everything possible. We have watched our children grow and leave. They have taken with them a wonderful appreciation for food, a valiant work ethic and a desire to never own their own restaurant. That's okay! It is our dream, not theirs. We have loved working with our children and watching them grow and become a wonderful addition to this world. They all have different personalities and interests. Some sing, some work with dancers, some exercise and some don't. You our customers have watched our family grow. We love you for it. We love your interest and concern.
